For a leading Chinese NEV brand's new platform, we supplied over 200 different aluminum components—from 3mm thick crash boxes to 0.8mm decorative interior trim. The critical challenge was managing the thermal expansion coefficient mismatch between aluminum and steel body-in-white during assembly. We provided dowel-pin location data with ±0.05mm positional accuracy on every structural mounting point, eliminating the dimensional stack-up issues that plague many EV startups. Our in-house FEA team ran 47 structural simulations before first article approval, and we delivered PPAP documentation that passed OEM review in a single iteration—a process that typically takes competitors 3–4 revision rounds.
